Robinson-Trueblood Pool to Host Community Reunion
Event Offers Activities for All Ages

The ninth biennial Robinson-Trueblood Pool Community Reunion will be held on Saturday, August 12. The free festivities will begin at 11 a.m. and last until 8 p.m.
Open to all, this family-friendly event will offer a variety of recreational activities, including swimming, basketball, volleyball, horseshoe games, ping pong and more! There will also be a classic car exhibit and live entertainment. Food will be provided. For more information about the event, please call George Ellis at 878-4473.
Named for local soldiers Pvt. Eddie Robinson and Cpl. David Trueblood who were killed in the Korean War, the Robinson-Trueblood Pool is located at the Lawrence-Gregory Community Center, 1115 Dade Street. The pool is open seasonally from noon to 5 p.m. each day of the week. Originally dedicated in1953 and renovated in 2001, the facility features a pool with zero depth entry, interactive water-play features, two lap lanes, a bath house and a 98-foot, 2-loop slide.
