As Hurricane Michael Approaches, County and City Officials Caution Residents of Severe Impact

Today at 12:00 p.m., Leon County Government and City of Tallahassee officials and Emergency Management staff will report on impacts as Hurricane Michael continues toward the Big Bend Region and Florida Panhandle as a category 4 hurricane. The press conference will take place in the Public Safety Complex, located at 911 Easterwood Drive.
As Hurricane Michael approaches Florida with maximum sustained winds of 145 miles per hour, Leon County Government and the City of Tallahassee want to inform citizens of the serious impact of this dangerous storm. Due to current wind speeds, the press conference will be streamed live on Facebook, Twitter, and Talgov.com for media outlets that are unable to attend.
