Convicted Felon Arrested for Possession of a Firearm and Drugs

The Tallahassee Police Department’s Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving Squad (COPPS) was conducting proactive patrol on Saturday, August 10, 2019 to address citizen complaints of criminal activity in the area of West Orange Avenue and Springhill Road. At 1:40 a.m., officers observed a male carrying a firearm in the parking lot of 1143 West Orange Avenue, the Marathon Gas Station. An on-scene investigation was conducted by officers who located a loaded 9mm handgun and 32 pills of MDMA (Ecstasy) in the suspect’s possession.
Corey Robinson, a Florida Convicted Felon, was arrested on charges related to the gun and drugs. Mr. Robinson was transported to the Leon County Detention Facility for processing.
