TPD Investigates Shooting on South Adams Street

TPD has arrested Ruben Goodson in connection with the shooting that occurred at Adams Place Apartments, 3000 South Adams Street.
Goodson was taken into custody by TPD's Career Criminal Unit and the U.S. Marshall’s Task Force, at his residence, and transported to TPD for questioning. It was discovered that Goodson is currently on probation/community control for Possession of Substance with Intent to Sell and Possession of Firearm by Delinquent. Investigators with the Violent Crimes Unit conducted a search of Goodson's residence, and recovered an AR-15 styled rifle and approximately 391 grams of suspected cannabis. Goodson was then transported to the Leon County Detention Facility for processing.

Original Release
At approximately 2:11 a.m. TPD responded to a shooting at Pointe at Adams Place Apartments, 3000 South Adams Street. Upon arrival, officers located one victim suffering from a gunshot wound. That victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition.
