Suspects Apprehended During Residential Burglary
January 09, 2020
Just before 1:00pm on January 8th, the CDA received a 911 call from a resident in the 3200 block of Allison Marie Court. The adult male victim said he had been upstairs with headphones on when he heard a loud banging noise. He took the headphones off and heard footsteps in his residence and whispered voices. When he exited the room he was in, he observed the suspects who ran upon seeing him.
Officers arrived along with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit and LCSO Patrol Deputies. The Aviation Unit saw an individual running towards a parked vehicle on Dian Road and assisted responding units in getting to them. Upon contact, the driver surrendered but the passenger fled on foot. He was apprehended a short distance away.
Several items of stolen property were recovered along the path the suspects took from the crime scene.
Elements of this case are still open and actively being investigated.
