City Responding to Reports of High Water on Local Streets

Response Efforts for Heavy Rain/Severe Weather - The City of Tallahassee's Emergency Management Team continues to closely monitor the current weather situation, with the primary impact being numerous reports of high water on local streets including some areas that are currently impassable. Citizens are advised to avoid travel if at all possible, but if you must venture out in your car please avoid any street with high and/or running water across it. A number of roads are reported under water, in all areas of the city.
A word of caution to motorists who must be on the road during heavy rain - do not drive on streets where water covers the surface. There could be deep water or potholes caused by the flooding. Police officers will issue citations to drivers ignoring road barricades. Heavy rain is forecasted to continue throughout the afternoon, with a continuing possibility of severe weather.
Electric service - the Electric Utility is reporting no primary power outages as of 10:45 a.m., with only minor scattered outages throughout the city. Electric Utility customers may report power outages to 891-4YOU (4968).

- 2000 N Meridian Rd.
- 2700 Capital Circle N.E.
- 800 Ocala Rd.
- Bradford Rd. at Bradford Ct.
- 7th Ave. at N Monroe St.
- Thomasville Rd. between Bradford and Gardenia
- Calhoun St. at Brevard St.
- 3700 Thomasville Rd.
- W. Tennessee St. at Blountstown Hwy.
- 444 Appleyard Dr.
- W. Tennessee St. at Macomb St.
- Orange Ave. at Blairstone Rd.
- 1100 Clay St.
- Centerville Rd. at both Medical Dr. and Physicans Dr.
- Vasser/Vasser Ct.
- Pinewood/Dellwood
- Portland Ave. at Old Bainbridge Rd.
- Lake Ella Dr.
- Suwannee St. at Lafayette St.
- N. Duval St. at 8th Ave
