City Commission to Hold Workshop
October 11, 2019
The Tallahassee City Commission will hold a workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers, second floor, City Hall, 300 South Adams Street.
At the workshop, the Commission will receive an update on the City of Tallahassee’s overarching, five-year Strategic Plan. Tallahassee celebrates its bicentennial in 2024, and the plan sets the framework that will guide City operations to this milestone anniversary. Once accepted by the Commission, the City’s workforce will be charged with implementing the plan and ultimately solidifying the City as the national leader in public service. The draft plan is currently available on Talgov.com/2024.
Additionally, the Commission will discuss the Community Human Services Partnership (CHSP) process. The CHSP serves as a joint planning and funding distribution process used by the City and Leon County to provide grants to organizations working to meet the needs of low and moderate-income persons and neighborhoods. It allows the partners to make funding decisions in an informed and systematic manner.
The workshop agenda can be viewed at http://www.boarddocs.com/fla/talgov/Board.nsf/Public. The workshop is open to the public. It will air live on WCOT (Comcast and CenturyLink channel 13) and stream on Talgov.com and Facebook.com/CityofTLH.
