- In 2008, Environmental Policy & Energy Resources (EPER) was created.
- In 2009, the City of Tallahassee adopted a Carbon Reduction Plan to reduce the community's greenhouse gas emissions.
- Since its inception, EPER has created several community-based programs and been recognized locally, nationally, and globally as a leader in sustainability.
