Led by Division Chief Lori Roberts, The Division of Logistics currently supports the mission of the Tallahassee Fire Department by providing supplies and equipment for fire suppression, hazardous material, and rescue operations. This support enables all of the City of Tallahassee Division of Operations resources to respond and mitigate all hazards and emergencies effectively. Logistics is also responsible for maintaining and supplying all 280 personnel and 247 fire fighters safety equipment including personnel protective equipment such as helmets, coats, pants, boots, and gloves.
Logistics is also responsible for the management of facility maintenance for 15 fire stations and associated fire department structures including the supply of household and office necessities. As well as all technology needs, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of our daily operations.
Logistics is constantly striving to enhance its capabilities and service with the use of the technology; current electronic submission of request for supplies, equipment, and repairs to facilities enables Logistics to meet the needs of the Tallahassee Fire Department in a timely manner, so that it can efficiently carry out its life saving and property conservation mission.
