Trends and Issues
Software and business process
Fleet's FASTER software continues to be updated and processes critiqued. Risk assessment, control environment, information reliability, and benchmarking capabilities are being reviewed. Continued monitoring of these activities will play a major role in the daily activities of all Fleet personnel.
Procurement
Procurement activities have been evaluated and the proper corrective action taken in those instances identified. Contracts have been implemented to handle routine purchases such as sublet repair activities and parts purchases.
OMAC
The Operations Managers' Advisory Committee (OMAC) is an oversight committee with eleven representatives from various departments appointed by the three Assistant City Managers. Communicating with this committee to identify and address department needs is an ongoing process.
