Movies in the Moonlight Returns
Free Movie Event This Saturday
February 28, 2017
You’ll want to search for a seat early! “Finding Dory” plays in Cascades Park this Saturday, March 4, at 7 p.m. The movie is being shown as part of the free Movies in the Moonlight series. The City of Tallahassee’s Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Affairs (PRNA) Department will host family-friendly activities beginning at 6 p.m.
This PG film tells the tale of Dory, a forgetful blue tang fish, who is searching for her long-lost parents. Audiences will laugh at the antics and be touched as Dory discovers the real meaning of family.
As at every Movies in the Moonlight event, PRNA will provide free popcorn. Food vendors will be on-site offering up family-friendly dinner options, snacks and treats. Seats in the amphitheater are available on a first come, first served basis. Attendees can also bring a blanket and watch the movie from the grass at the back of the amphitheater.
Residents are encouraged to make a day of it by heading to the park early and exploring. Check out Discovery (the interactive kids play area) or take a walk to enjoy the park’s natural beauty. To learn more about Cascades Park, download the TallyParks app or visit Talgov.com/Parks. Citizens can also stay informed about PRNA happenings by liking the department on Facebook and following @COTParks on Twitter.
