City Commission to hold Urban Forestry Workshop
May 03, 2018
The Tallahassee City Commission will hold a workshop on Wednesday, May 9, at 1 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers, second floor, City Hall, 300 South Adams Street.
The workshop will provide an update on the development of the Urban Forest Master Plan, which is being developed using a process that includes data gathering and community engagement. The Urban Forest Master Plan seeks to establish goals specific to our community and outline actionable steps to ensure proper tree management including preservation, plantings, removals and maintenance, as well as help reduce costs to tax payers and minimize infrastructure conflicts.
The workshop agenda can be viewed at http://go.boarddocs.com/fla/talgov/Board.nsf/Public. The workshop is open to the public and will be aired live on WCOT (Comcast and CenturyLink channel 13) and streamed on Talgov.com and Facebook.com/COTNews.
