Arrest Made for Several Burglaries

On Saturday, March 21, 2020 at approximately 7:53 am, TPD officers responded to the 2600 block of Thomasville Road regarding a complaint of a suspicious person at a residence. Officers located the person and quickly detained a female based on information received from the witness. The suspect was identified as Jessica Gordon. A thorough on-scene investigation was conducted and probable cause was established to arrest Gordon for burglary of a vehicle and two residences.
The investigation revealed Gordon drove to a home and made unlawful entry into a vehicle, stealing keys to the home. Gordon entered the residence and stole several items. Gordon then unlawfully entered the neighbor's home and encountered the occupants who did not know the suspect or expect to see her inside their home.
The stolen items were recovered by the officers and given back to the lawful owners. Gordon was transported to the Leon County Detention Facility for processing.
The Tallahassee Police Department would like to remind citizens to always report suspicious activity, as done in this case, by calling the Consolidated Dispatch Agency at 850-606-5800. Keep your home and vehicle doors locked at all times. Make sure all valuables are removed from vehicles, including firearms.

- Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling pursuant to Florida Statute 810.02(3A)
- Burglary of an Unoccupied Structure pursuant to Florida Statute 810.02(4A)
- Burglary of an Unoccupied Conveyance pursuant to Florida Statute 810.02(4B)
- Petit Theft pursuant to Florida Statue 812.014(3A).
