TFD Responds to Residential Fire on Monday Road

On July 10, 2022, at 9:40 a.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 2000 block of Monday Road. The first crew arrived in less than five minutes to find heavy smoke coming from a single-story home. TFD units entered the home and extinguished the fire quickly. A search of the house revealed there were no occupants inside during the incident. Damages are estimated at $20,000. The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical. There were no reported injuries.
TFD was assisted on scene by Tallahassee Police Department, City of Tallahassee Utilities, and Leon County EMS. The Red Cross was called to assist one person who was displaced.
