TPD Arrests Orange Avenue & Dantzler Drive Murder Suspect

Tallahassee Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit has been investigating two murders that occurred on December 19, 2018 near the 1900 block of West Orange Avenue, and on January 26, 2019 near the area of Magnolia Drive and Dantzler Drive. In both cases the victims were beaten and strangled before their bodies were discarded.
Investigators gathered various pieces of evidence and were able to charge Philip Ford for the murder of both victims. Ford was taken into custody by investigators and transported to the Leon County Detention Facility for booking.
Investigators are asking anyone that has recently come in contact with Ford and or his vehicle to please call them at (850) 891-4200 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
The Tallahassee Police Department would like to thank the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) all others who assisted the Violent Crimes Unit with this investigation.
