TPD Investigates Shooting on Blountstown Street

On January 24, 2018, the Tallahassee Police Department was dispatched to 1525 Blountstown Street regarding a deceased person in a home. When officers arrived, they found the body of Brandon Bradshaw on the couch, deceased. This case was assigned to investigators with TPD's Violent Crimes Unit who immediately began working on the case. After a thorough investigation, the Violent Crimes Unit found probable cause to arrest Quontarrious Jones for the death of Mr. Bradshaw.
The Tallahassee Police Department would like to thank all those who assisted the Violent Crimes Unit with this investigation. Tallahassee Police Chief Michael J. DeLeo offers his condolences to the family of Mr. Bradshaw and has them in his thoughts and prayers.
The probable cause is attached to this release and has been redacted in accordance with Florida Statute 119.071(2)(c)1.

- Quontarrious Jones, Black Male, 08/24/1991
Charges:
- Second Degree Murder pursuant to Florida Statute 782.04(2)
Update: January 25
As the Tallahassee Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit continues to investigate this case, they are releasing the name of the victim.

Original Release
The Tallahassee Police Department is currently investigating a shooting which occurred at 1525 Blountstown Street at approximately 8:55 a.m. this morning. Officers were notified of the shooting incident and responded to the area. Arriving officers and emergency personnel provided immediate medical attention to the victim but sadly they have passed away from their injuries.
The case has been assigned to investigators with TPD's Violent Crimes Unit. At this time they are interviewing all known witnesses and processing the scene. Investigators are asking anyone with information about this case to please call them at (850) 891-4200 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
