Tallahassee Fire Department Extinguishes Night Club Fire off of Fairbanks Ferry Road

At 8:32 A.M. fire crews from stations 1, 2, 7, 9, 11, and 15 responded to the report of a structure fire located at 1801 Fairbanks Ferry Road, the Roosevelt night club. On arrival, TFD units encountered flames coming from a shed near the rear of the structure, as well as smoke coming from the eves of the nightclub. Units also noticed that Gadsden County Volunteer Firefighters had also responded to the address, and began the extinguishment of the fire. Tallahassee Fire Department crews entered the structure, found no one inside, and extinguished the remaining fire in the shed as well as inside the structure. No injuries were reported on scene, and damages are estimated to be at $20,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Tallahassee Fire Department prevention division and the State Fire Marshal. Talquin Electric Company was on scene to assist TFD as well.
