TSC Southside
Tallahassee Senior Services Southside extends preventive health services and education to seniors living in this community. Goals include the reduction of chronic disease and improvement of wellness. A wide range of health screenings and monthly Senior Days are available for seniors age 55+. Southside outreach is funded by the City of Tallahassee, the Tallahassee Senior Foundation, CDBG grant funds, other grants, and participant donations. Call 891-4000 for more information.

Flu Shot Fair
In partnership with the Leon County Health Department, the annual TSC flu shot clinic is available to anyone 55 or older who will be around young children or suffers chronic illness—diabetes, lung, heart, or immune system. If 65 and older, with Medicare Part B, the cost of the flu shot is covered by Medicare. You must bring drivers license or ID and current Medicare or CHP Card. For all others, $22 fee applies. Snacks and a variety of health screenings available.

Lifelong learning at SouthWood/Westcott Lakes

You asked for it and here it is - Lifelong Learning on the Southside!
A partnership between Tallahassee Senior Services, SouthWood and Westcott Lakes, this new program is guaranteed to enlighten, enrich and entertain. This series, entitled "Laughter for Your Lifetime" will bring a different expert speaker each week. Some of the admired speakers include the adorable and unflappable Charlie Waters from the Agency for Workforce Innovation, Cindy Dick, Tallahassee Fire Department Chief and winner of a local celebrity comedy challenge, and local icon and humorist, Kati Shardl. Learn more about reducing the stress in your life through laughter while making new friends and challenging your brain.
The next series, beginning in January, will feature the brilliant and engaging Al Sulkes, whose lifelong Learning programs at other outreach location are "standing room only."The above services and events are funded by Tallahassee Senior Services, TSC Foundation, donations, and sponsors.
