TPD Investigating Bank Robbery

The Tallahassee Police Department has made an arrest in the below robbery, which occurred at3218 North Monroe Street. TPD Robbery Investigators had a statewide bulletin released to all Law Enforcement immediately following the robbery and received information from detectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies relayed they had worked bank robberies on 02/17/14 & 02/18/14 in Hillsborough County and Pasco County.
Deputies had identified the subject after receiving a tip. The photos were compared and found to be the same subject (even wearing the same clothing) and they had warrants issued on 02/19/14 for both of their robberies. The suspect was located in Biloxi, MS and arrested. The subject is currently in jail awaiting extradition to Tallahassee to answer to the charges of Robbery. View the warrants for his arrest.

February 19, 2014
Today at approximately 3:15 pm, a bank robbery occurred at the Gulf Winds Credit Union located at 3218 North Monroe Street. Officers were called after a suspect entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the bank.
Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division and Forensics Technicians arrived at the bank and assumed the investigation. At this time, they are interviewing all witnesses and processing the bank for evidence.
The suspect was described as follows:
- White male, thin build, 5'11"-6'0" tall, weighing approximately 160-170 lbs., early to mid 40's, wearing a tan ball cap, sunglasses, dark shoes, dark pants, and a dark blue jacket.
