Managing Your Utility Account the Easy Way
August 01, 2014
Balancing demands as a college student can be challenging. Between school, work and other commitments, it’s often tough to stay on top of paying bills, using money wisely and taking care of household chores.
The City of Tallahassee Utilities has created an easy to pay your utility bill and oversee your utility account.
Simply visit Talgov.com/YOU and sign up e+ Online. This easy-to-use account management tool offers a convenient, no-fee, electronic payment option. It also provides customized data and money-saving tips based on your specific energy and water usage. You can view your billing history, obtain historical information and associated graphs, and find out how weather as well as other factors affected your current bill.
Also, be sure to sign up for the convenient and eco-friendly SmartBill. Upon enrollment, you will receive the paperless bill directly and securely in your email each month.
The SmartBill contains your account summary as well as valuable information to help you save energy, water and money. It also allows you to schedule an electronic payment (Bank Transfer - ACH payment) from within the SmartBill without a fee. Please note that credit card or debit card payments from within the SmartBill do incur retail money transfer fees from Western Union, the vendor contracted to process these payments from City utility customers.
All in all, the free and secure billing option will save you time and money. It’s smart because everything we do to reduce waste, save energy and conserve water is an investment in our community and our future.
Thank your for doing your part to protect our natural resources.
