Description
Two distinct areas of flooding were identified during the stormwater analysis. The first area of flooding occurs along Jackson Bluff Road due to an inadequate storm sewer system and lack of curb inlets. This problem will be addressed by constructing additional conveyance and inlet capacity. The second area of flooding occurs in the Caroline Courts Subdivision along Melanie and Lee Ann Lane where repeated flooding results in severe yard and street flooding. To address this problem, 8 properties were purchased adjacent to Lee Ann Lane that will be used for the construction of a two-acre stormwater facility that will help lower peak flood stages throughout the area.
