Description
The objective of this project was to construct improvements to the existing stormwater systems to alleviate flooding in the area bounded by Jefferson Street, Apalachee Parkway, Goodbody Lane and the CSX Railroad. Most of the roadways within the project limits were constructed without curb and gutter, and the existing drainage systems were inadequately sized to collect or convey the runoff reaching them. Structural improvements included installing curb and gutter on both sides of Jefferson Street and Delores Drive and constructing new inlets and storm drains.
