Putnam Drive Stormwater Improvements

Description
This project addressed residential and street flooding in the East Branch Drainage Basin south of Magnolia Drive and north of Putnam Drive. Two earthen berms were constructed on Capital City Country Club to detain stormwater runoff from the golf course and surrounding residential areas. The storage provided by the detention areas reduced flood stages throughout the flood-prone area. Additionally, a flood-prone home on Norma Street that could not be protected by the improvements was acquired by the City.
