Description

The objective of this project is to provide flood relief in the west Apalachee Ridge Subdivision and for the residents between Tartary Drive and Meridian Street. The Phase I Tartary Drive Stormwater Improvements Preliminary Engineering Design Report, prepared in April 2001 by Dyer, Riddle, Mills and Precourt, Inc. (DRMP), identified the construction of a 6-acre stormwater management facility and modifications to the existing stormwater infrastructure systems in the Rolling Acres, Lynndale and Apalachee Ridge subdivisions. Phase II will implement many of the report's recommendations as well as seek other cost effective alternatives to reduce flooding in the project area. The project consists of two major components - construction of a stormwater management facility on a 6-acre parcel east of Tartary Drive, and improvements to the existing drainage systems in the surrounding subdivisions
