Description
This project will provide relief from frequent roadway and yard flooding in the Pine Grove subdivision, located between Bradford Road and Glenview Drive. This subdivision, platted in 1946, was constructed with an inadequate internal drainage system. In addition, approximately 75 acres of upstream development drain through the subdivision overloading the undersized stormdrains and spilling a river of stormwater onto Collins Drive. As a result, several yards and a commercial parking lot, at the eastern edge of the subdivision, are flooded on a regular basis. The design calls for the construction of a 2.5 acre stormwater management facility west of Meridian Road and drainage improvements throughout the Pine Grove subdivision.
