Tallahassee Police Make Third Arrest in Attempted Homicide of Officer

Tuesday, Oct. 3, the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) located and arrested 26-year-old Tyrell Guinnie, following the home invasion robbery and subsequent shooting of a TPD officer that occurred on Sept. 25.
After an exhaustive investigation, detectives with TPD's Violent Crimes Unit successfully identified Guinnie as the third suspect in the case. Detectives uncovered evidence confirming Guinnie's role as the getaway driver during the home invasion robbery on Sandpiper Street and developed probable cause for his arrest. Guinnie was located and taken into custody without incident.
As a result of these diligent efforts, all individuals linked to the attempted homicide of the officer are now in police custody, ensuring the safety and security of our community.
