Arrest Made for Aggravated Battery Near Conner Boulevard

The Tallahassee Police Department was called to the area of Conner Boulevard and Lone Feather Driver at approximately 4:25 pm on Saturday, June 13, regarding a battery. Officers located the victim, who had been hit with a bat. TPD and emergency responders immediately provided medical attention to the victim, who was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The victim had been exercising near the soccer field at Lincoln High School when an adult male approached her asking for assistance with his car. While providing assistance to the suspect, the victim was hit several times with a bat. The incident was determined to be a random act.
TPD officers conducted an on-scene investigation and were able to arrest Preston Aldridge for Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon. Aldridge was transported to the Leon County Detention Facility.
