Investigation Yields More Than a Dozen Arrests

The Tallahassee Police Department is committed to addressing community concerns regarding the illegal sale of narcotics. On Nov. 6, TPD’s Special Investigation Section with assistance from the Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving Squad and Violent Crimes Response Team executed a search warrant in the 2400 block of West Pensacola Street.
The search warrant resulted in the arrest of seven people.
This investigation was conducted in direct response to complaints of street level drug dealing in the area. The operation was the culmination of an ongoing series of investigations being conducted by TPD in connection to properties on the block. In total, 15 people have been arrested and charged with felony and misdemeanor drug-related offenses as part of this effort.

Michael Robbins, 54, for possession of cocaine with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a childcare facility, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, maintaining a drug house and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Melissa Turner, 48, for possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and outstanding warrants.
- Kathy Payne, 56, for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- James White, 55, for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Thomas Huff, 59, for failure to register as a career offender.
- Lania Sims, 31, for violation of probation and resisting a search warrant
- Alphonso Brooks III, 18, for possession of cocaine with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a childcare facility and possession of drug paraphernalia.
