Tallahassee-Leon County Invite Community to Florida’s Family Day Celebration at FAMU Way
November 15, 2022
Leon County Government and the City of Tallahassee invite the community to celebrate Family Day with a free event on Friday, November 25, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Anita Favors Plaza at Lake Anita, 116 W. Van Buren Street. Family Day at FAMU Way will feature live entertainment, a family resource center, food trucks and fun activities for the whole family.
In 2021, the Leon County Commission and the City of Tallahassee Commission unanimously supported designating the day after Thanksgiving as Family Day. With this designation, Tallahassee-Leon County became the first community in Florida to celebrate the importance of all families, togetherness, support and love. Residents and visitors alike can celebrate by spending time with loved ones at the Family Day at FAMU Way event, shopping local at any of the participating businesses and enjoying other arts, culture and outdoor amenities communitywide.
Family Day at FAMU Way is a community-led event supported by Leon County Government, the City of Tallahassee, Sachs Media, the Council on Culture & Arts (COCA) and Soul of Southside Festival TLH, with additional support from SoMo Walls, Peter Boulware Toyota, Capital Health Plan, First Commerce Credit Union and others.
