The City of Tallahassee works hard to find innovative solutions to local problems. Below are just a few of the things we're doing to help our city.
Market District Multi-Purpose Stormwater Project
To keep pace with growth and improve the quality of stormwater flowing to Lake Jackson, upgrades to the area's stormwater system are necessary. This infrastructure work creates an opportunity to enhance Sense of Place efforts already underway in the Market District. Here you'll find current concept plans, information and a feedback form. Your input will help shape this project and the future of our community..
Substation 12 Reliability Project
This project will provide increased reliability to the current system and will provide power to Substation 12 if a storm or other event impacts the current transmission feed.
The FAMU Way Extension Project will create a new east-west roadway between the current end of FAMU Way at Wahnish Way and Lake Bradford Road and includes enhancements to the existing FAMU Way corridor. The project will be completed in three phases. Phase one began in April 2014 and is expected to be completed by 2016.
Your Penny, Your Projects
On November 4, 2014, voters overwhelmingly supported the extension of the penny sales tax. This website is designed to help you better understand how the penny sales tax works and what to expect in the future.
