TPD Investigates Shooting on Old Bainbridge Road (updated)

TPD has arrested Jordan Smith and Xaiver Coachman in connection with the death investigation near the 2300 block of Old Bainbridge Road. The investigation revealed that the deceased victim along with Smith, and Coachman planned to commit a drug transaction/ robbery by firearm at the Monterey Apartments (2301 Old Bainbridge Road). Due to their involvement in the robbery that led to the death of the decedent, probable cause was established to charge both Jordan Smith and Xaiver Coachman with "Felony Murder" and "Tampering with Evidence". Both arrestees were transported to the Leon County Detention Facility for booking. Additional charges are pending.

The Tallahassee Police Department is currently investigating a shooting near the 2300 block of Old Bainbridge Road. At approximately 12:53 pm., officers were notified of the shooting incident and responded to the area. Arriving officers and emergency personnel discovered one victim suffering from gunshot wounds and had succumbed to their injuries.
