Our community needs your input in the next stage of shaping its future. It’s time for the next round of public input on the update to the Land Use and Mobility Elements of the Tallahassee-Leon County Comprehensive Plan. Come to a Public Open House near you to interact and give feedback on the major takeaways of the update’s proposed Goals and Objectives. Then, join us for a deep dive into these Goals and Objectives at a series of Community Workshops, where you can provide detailed input on how we’ll achieve these community Goals. For more information, email planning@talgov.com, or call 850.891.6400. You can also provide feedback on our proposed objectives by participating in our digital workshop.

The Land Use Element Update
The Tallahassee-Leon County Comprehensive Plan provides the blueprint for growth and development within Leon County.
The goal of the Land Use Element Update project is to align the land use and development plan with established community priorities, beginning with a comprehensive assessment and revision of the Land Use Element. This update to the Land Use Element is an opportunity to incorporate new community priorities, as well as address the structural and content-based issues. Other Elements of the Comprehensive Plan will be updated in the future.
Project Scope and Schedule
The Comprehensive Plan Update Project is an initiative of both the Leon County Board of County Commissioners and the Tallahassee City Commission. The project is a multi-year effort that will be accomplished across four phases.
