Community Resource Expo Connects Citizens to Services
Tallahassee CARES Event to be held on March 25
March 21, 2017
Whether you're looking for programs for kids, health information or disaster preparedness tips, you'll find it at Tallahassee CARES! Join the City of Tallahassee and multiple area partners on Saturday, March 25, for this free community resource expo from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in South City on Polk Drive.
"Tallahassee CARES will help residents learn more about the variety of social, learning and civic engagement opportunities available in our community," Commissioner Curtis Richardson said. "It's also a fun opportunity to foster relationships and fellowship with your neighbors. Together, we can create a stronger, more resilient Tallahassee."
Started in 2014, Tallahassee CARES (Creating Awareness of Resources and Educational Services) is a City initiative that connects residents to community resources through direct neighborhood outreach.
At the expo, more than 30 different exhibitors will be on hand. Attendees will receive vital community information and can take part in a variety of health screenings. From pregnancy information to senior care and everything in between, the exhibitors at Tallahassee CARES want to help you live your best life at every age.
The March 25 event in South City will be the first in the 2017 series of community resource expos. Tallahassee CARES is part of the larger City Commission commitment to enhance the quality of life for all residents and help build a stronger, more resilient community.
