Hurricane Hermine Disaster Assistance Still Available
Deadline to Apply for Reimbursement Extended

Funding is still available for repairs to homes damaged by Hurricane Hermine, as well as reimbursement of homeowner insurance deductibles for Hurricane Hermine repair expenses. Eligible repairs include tree and debris removal, structural and non-structural damage repairs, roof repair/replacement and demolition costs.
Assistance is based on income-eligibility (based on family size) and other qualification criteria, which include but are not limited to:
- Proof that damage is a result of Hurricane Hermine, such as insurance reports, insurance estimates or photographs of damage
- Must be primary resident for the homeowner
- Home must be located within the city limits
- Market value of your home, as stated on the Property Appraiser webpage at www.leonpa.org, cannot exceed $147,000
- Property tax payments must be up to date

Applications can be downloaded from Talgov.com and will be accepted until 5:30 p.m. on June 9.

The funds for this assistance are provided through the State of Florida’s State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP). Its purpose is to address the needs of eligible applicants whose housing has been directly affected by Hurricane Hermine.
