Speed's Grocery Busted

Tallahassee Police Department's Special Investigations Section served a narcotics search warrant at Speed's Grocery, 801 Floral Street, on Friday, January 5, 2018. TPD had received numerous complaints from the community and conducted an extensive investigation. The warrant executed on Friday was the third narcotics related search warrant served at this location since October, 2016.
Investigators located cocaine, cannabis, and hydrocodone pills; numerous drug paraphernalia items, and nearly $4,600 in currency that appeared to be proceeds from drug sales. A felony amount of the drugs was recovered in plain view and many of the paraphernalia items were available for sale by the store.
Mr. Hinson and Ms. Patel were arrested on scene and transported to the Leon County Detention Facility. A third individual, Andre Webb, was arrested at the store after the conclusion of the search and was also transported to the Leon County Detention Facility.
The probable cause affidavits are attached to this release and have been redacted in accordance with Florida Statute 119.071(2)(e) & 119.071(5)(a).
