Pedestrian Struck at John Knox and Monroe

As the investigation continues, investigators are releasing the name of the pedestrian involved in this accident. This is still an active investigation and TPD investigators are continuing to interview known witnesses and process evidence collected from the crash scene. They are urging anyone who may have information about the crash to please contact them at (850) 891-4200 or via Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.

The Tallahassee Police Department is currently investigating a traffic crash which occurred in the area of 2415 North Monroe Street involving a pedestrian. TPD and Emergency responders were called to the scene at 9:58 p.m. this evening for the accident and immediately provided medical attention to the pedestrian. Sadly, the pedestrian has died from their injuries. Traffic Homicide Investigators were called to the scene and have assumed the investigation.
Traffic Homicide Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, but did not speak with an officer on scene or anyone with information about the accident to please call (850) 891-4200 and ask to speak with the Traffic Homicide Unit. They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
All traffic traveling north bound on North Monroe St. has been diverted to travel east and west on John Knox Rd.
