TPD Investigates Shooting -UPDATE

Update - Feb. 23, 3:07 p.m.
After further investigation the Tallahassee Police Department has made two arrests in connection with a shooting that took place at 1325 West Tharpe Street. Responding officers made contact with the victims and determined that two vehicles had been struck by gunfire while they were driving through the complex. Officers were made aware that the armed suspects retreated into apartment 1713, where they made contact with both suspects and took them into custody without further incident.
A search warrant was later served at apartment 1713 which led to the recovery of two hands guns and one stolen AR-15 rifle. It was later discovered that both arrestees La’Darius Boston and Roddrick Edison have been involved in multiple shooting incidents in Lee County. Edison and Boston were later transported to the Leon County Detention Facility for processing.

Starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, and lasting through 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, Blair Stone Road will be closed to through traffic between Paul Russell Road and Capital Circle, weather permitting. A private contractor will be completing infrastructure enhancements that will serve a new housing development in the area. Detours will be clearly marked, which includes directing northbound traffic on Capital Circle to Tram Road and southbound traffic on Capital Circle to Orange Avenue. Access to the businesses near the corner of Blair Stone Road and Capital Circle will be maintained at all times.
