Operation First Responder & Family Relief
October 16, 2018
As Hurricane Michael moved through our area, first responders from various agencies started working around the clock to protect their communities. Many of these first responders left their homes and families indefinitely. Some have no homes to return to and they, along with their families, are displaced in temporary housing while they continue to serve their communities. In cities such as Mexico Beach, Panama City, Lynn Haven, Marianna and Blountstown, our fellow first responder families are in need of basic hygiene and clothing items.
The Tallahassee Police Department and Florida Police Chiefs Association are working in partnership to provide relief for first responders and their families in the devastated areas. Please help us collect these items so we can start providing first responders some help with basic needs while they are working to serve their devastated communities. These items will provide considerable relief to all first responders who put their needs last to take care of others.
You can help by donating the requested items at the following locations Wednesday, October 17 and Thursday, October 18 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. and Friday, October 19 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
