City Commission to Conduct Interviews for City Auditor
June 06, 2019
The Tallahassee City Commission will hold two special meetings next week to conduct interviews for the City Auditor position. The meetings will begin at 1:45 p.m. on both Monday, June 10, and Tuesday, June 11.
A nationwide search to fill the position was conducted from March 18 to April 26. This resulted in 21 applications received, 13 of which were deemed eligible. A Citizen Review Committee, appointed by the City Commission, met May 20 to consider the applications and make recommendations for City Commission consideration.
On June 10, the Commission will interview Dennis Sutton at 2 p.m., Monica Houston at 3 p.m. and Gerald Bryan at 4 p.m. On June 11, the Commission will interview Derek Noonan at 2 p.m.
Following the final interview, the Commission will discuss next steps, which may include providing direction to the City Attorney to negotiate an employment contract to be considered at a regularly scheduled City Commission meeting.
The interviews will all be held in the Tallahassee Room on the second floor of City Hall, 300 South Adams Street. They will be open to the public.
