TPD Investigates Traffic Crash on Thomasville Road (update)

Officers have cleared the scene and normal traffic patterns have been restored. Traffic Homicide Investigators asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, but did not speak with an officer on scene, or anyone with information about the accident to please call 850-891-4200 and ask to speak with the Traffic Homicide Unit. They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 850-574-TIPS.

TPD is currently investigating a two-vehicle traffic crash which occurred near the intersection of Thomasville Road and exit 203 I-10 East off ramp. One of the involved vehicles was a Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office marked patrol car. Emergency responders immediately provided medical attention to the deputy who was ejected from the vehicle. The deputy was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Traffic Homicide Investigators have been called to the scene and have assumed the investigation. Motorist are urged to avoid the area and take alternate routes.
