City Continues Work to Improve Betton Road
Intersection of Centerville Road to temporarily close
January 28, 2022
As part of the City of Tallahassee's commitment to investing in its infrastructure, work continues to reconstruct the aging roadway, upgrade underground utilities and improve pedestrian safety along Betton Road.
To facilitate connection of the new water and sewer improvements, the intersection of Betton Road and Centerville Road will be temporarily closed from 7 p.m. February 11 to 5 a.m. February 14, barring any adverse weather conditions. Traffic will be detoured via Blair Stone Road and Thomasville Road.
The work requiring the road closure will move the project toward completion, which is scheduled for June 2022. These investments support the City's commitment to be a leader in utility service delivery and to proactively address issues related to aging infrastructure.
