TPD Accepting Applications for Advisory Councils

The Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) is advertising to fill current vacancies on its Citizens Advisory Council (CAC) and Youth Citizens Advisory Council (YCAC). Applications to serve on these committees will be accepted through Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 5 p.m.
Each council works with TPD to address current issues regarding the community and presents potential solutions to the Chief of Police. Together, TPD and the advisory councils encourage a crime-free lifestyle by incorporating principles of teamwork, trust and communication for citizens of all ages.

If interested in serving on TPD's Youth Citizens Advisory Council, download an application and email the completed version to tpdycac@talgov.com. To be part of the Youth Citizens Advisory Council, applicants must be between the ages of 13 and 17, attend a school or educational program in the TPD service area, be in grades 7-12 and obtain parental/guardian permission.
