TFD Responds to Fire on Towner Trace

On January 3, at 5:32 p.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) was dispatched to a residential structure fire located in the 7000 block of Towner Trace. TFD arrived on scene in less than five minutes to find a single-story duplex with heavy smoke coming from the structure. TFD personnel made entry and found fire in the kitchen area. The fire was quickly knocked down and a search was conducted in both sides of the duplex. The search was deemed clear, and no occupants were found inside the structure. TFD’s efforts were able to contain the fire to one side of the duplex. There were no injuries reported on scene.
TFD was assisted on scene by Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County EMS, Talquin Electric and Bradfordville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
