TFD Responds to Two Overnight Structure Fires

On February 13, the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) responded to two overnight structure fires.
The first occurred at 1:17 a.m. on the 2700 block of Cathedral Drive. TFD arrived on scene to find a mobile home fully involved. Crews quickly attacked the fire from the exterior. TFD personnel searched the structure and found no occupants inside the home. One patient was transported to the hospital. TFD was assisted on scene by the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD), Leon County EMS, City of Tallahassee Utilities and the Leon County Sheriff's Office. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
The second structure fire occurred at 1:48 a.m. on the 1200 block of Hernando Drive. TFD arrived on scene and found smoke and flames coming from the rear of a single-story structure. TFD crews made entry and found fire in the back of the house that extended into the attic. TFD searched the structure and found no occupants inside. There were no reported injuries on scene. The State Fire Marshal's office was called to the scene for further investigation. TFD was assisted on scene by the TPD, Leon County EMS and City of Tallahassee Utilities.
