March 23, 2023
On March 23, at 10:17 a.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) was dispatched to a fire alarm located in the 3200 block of Westgate Court. Upon arrival, TFD found a three story multi-residential structure with smoke coming from a second story window.
TFD personnel made entry from the first floor and found fire in a room on the second story. The fire was quickly attacked and extinguished. TFD crews searched the room and found no occupants inside at the time of the fire. There were no injuries reported on scene. TFD's quick action kept the fire from spreading, and no further apartment rooms were affected.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
TFD was assisted on scene by the Tallahassee Police Department, City of Tallahassee Utilities and the State Fire Marshal's Office.
