Consolidated Dispatch Agency 9-1-1 Emergency Communications of Tallahassee Leon County recognized as industry leader at 2023 Motorola Summit

Last week, April 11-13, 2023, the Consolidated Dispatch Agency's (CDA) Director David Odom, Behavioral Health Wellness Coordinator Kim Powell, Lt. Mike Abbey (ret.), Public Safety Communications Operator (PSCO) Teagan Clayton and other CDA members attended Motorola Solutions annual Summit in Orlando, Florida during which the CDA was recognized for accomplishments in several areas and as an industry leader.
More than 1,100 public safety professionals from across North America attended the 2023 Motorola Summit that offered nearly 450 hours of high-quality training courses across 21 tracks. The CDA's innovative Behavioral Wellness and Peer-to-Peer Support Program, presented by Kim Powell and Mike Abbey, was a headlining leadership track.
PSCO Teagan Clayton was recognized by Motorola for her vital role during the October 29th, 2022 mass casualty and officer involved shooting incident on Pensacola Street. PSCO Clayton, selected from hundreds of nominations, was commended for exceptional service monitoring, and coordinating police and emergency services during a critical incident. PSCO Clayton has been employed with the CDA since May 2022.
Director Odom stated, "We are incredibly proud of PSCO Clayton who is an asset to the First Responder Family of Tallahassee Leon County. She is also a testament to the strength of our ever-intensifying training program and the resilience of our Wellness Program. The CDA will continue to lead within our industry to be innovative in our approach to provide the highest level of service to our community."
