TFD Responds to Residential Fire

On Friday, June 2, at 1:52 a.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) was dispatched to a structure fire located in the 6800 block of Hugh Road. TFD arrived on scene and found heavy smoke and fire coming from a mobile home.
TFD personnel quickly attacked the fire and searched the structure. All occupants made it out safely, but sadly, two cats died in the fire. There were no injuries to people reported on scene.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. The Red Cross was called to the scene.
TFD was assisted on scene by the Leon County Sheriff's Office, Leon County EMS and City of Tallahassee Utilities.
