TFD Responds to Residential Fire on George Street

On June 15, at 3:13 a.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) was dispatched to a structure fire located in the 2900 block of George Street. TFD arrived on scene and found heavy smoke and fire coming from a single-story home. TFD crews quickly made an attack on the fire and searched the structure. All occupants were out of the home upon TFD's arrival. There were no injuries reported on scene. The cause of the fire appears to be electrical in nature.
TFD was assisted on scene by City of Tallahassee Utilities, the Leon County Sheriff's Office and Leon County EMS. The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the residents.
