Tallahassee Police Make Arrest in November 2023 Shooting Incident

Today, Jan. 25, the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) arrested one person following the shooting incident that occurred on Nov. 28, 2023, at a residence in the 2100 block of Melanie Drive.
Investigative findings reveal the incident originated from a dispute over $15 owed to the arrestee, Ashley Pollock, following a previous drug transaction. Pollock arrived at the aforementioned residence accompanied by Delma Pace shortly before 2 p.m. in an attempt to collect the debt.
Upon opening the door, a verbal dispute ensued, and Pollock brandished a firearm. Moments later, an adult male within the residence produced a firearm and shot at Pollock and Pace. The two sustained serious injuries as a result of the shooting.
On Dec. 5, 2023, while being treated at a local hospital, Pace died as a result of medical complications following the shooting.
After consultation with the State Attorney's Office, TPD detectives obtained warrants to charge Pollock with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and homicide.
