TPD Invites Youth to Join the Youth Citizens Advisory Council

The Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) is looking to fill current vacancies on its Youth Citizens Advisory Council (YCAC). TPD is seeking dedicated youth to join this important initiative.
The YCAC collaborates with TPD to address pressing community issues and present innovative solutions to the agency. This unique opportunity allows youth to actively contribute to the betterment of our community. It also provides valuable insights into all moving parts of the police department. Together, TPD and the advisory council encourage a crime-free lifestyle by incorporating principles of teamwork, trust, and communication for citizens of all ages.

Council meetings are held every second Saturday of the month, providing a platform for open discussion and collaboration. If you are between the ages of 13 and 17, attend a school or educational program in the TPD service area, and are in grades 7-12, we invite you to apply. To be a part of the Youth Citizens Advisory Council, download an application and email the completed version to tpdycac@talgov.com. Please ensure you have obtained parental/guardian permission to apply.
